Born to be a woman

Jump higher,
Reach for the sky.
Or dive deeper,
Reach for the bottom of the ocean.
Or just keep walking,
Until u reach that forested area that calls your soul.
It’s not easy to jump over all the hurdles.
The society puts up a lot of them.
And some were put there by your parents.
Jump.
Or just skip and walk past them.
You were born to be a woman.
A woman, who knows her goals
And is willing to reach for them.
Do what it takes.
I’m not judging you
‘We’ are not judging you.

We are awed at your courage,
We ogle at your fearlessness
We yearn for that confidence.
Stay brave.
And don’t ever confine yourself
To those four walls.
Break those boundaries
That were put there to stop you.
You were born to be a woman.
A woman, who is willing to work harder.
Harder than they could think.
So go be that woman.
Be proud of it.

Be like Maa Kali,
Or idolise Maa Saraswati,
Or be a form of Maa Shakti herself
The creator and the destroyer.
Being physically weaker can’t stop you.
Read about that woman who became an astronaut
Read about that woman who flew the fighter plane.
Or just look across the street at that brave woman
Who has to fight with her parents everyday
But goes to college anyway,
She fights for it.
So you can fight for it too.
Because you were born to be a woman.
A woman who knows how to fight.

I love to write. I prefer writing in a notebook. Typing my heart out isn't really my thing but I'm in for new challenges!!
