We will heal

I’ll heal.
Some day, when I see the sunrise again,
After I take a walk
On that hill I love,
And when I smile at a stranger again,
I’ll heal.

It’s a new kind of situation,
The kind I had never imagined
And it has me confused
There’s a mix of emotions,
Emotions that can make you depressed
And emotions that can teach you to live better.
I try to choose the latter
I try to believe in ‘Carpe diem’
Because that’s the only way
I can make sure
That I’ll heal.

Not knowing is tough,
It is complicated.
Not knowing if you will be alive tomorrow
Not knowing if your family is safe
Not knowing if the country will get through it
Not knowing if all this will leave a scar.
It’s tough,
But someday,
I know, I’ll heal,
And even though it will take some time,
We will all heal.
